Joab was born in Kisumu, Kenya. He did a year-long internship (Freiwilliges Sozialles Jahr) at Camphill Dorfgemeinschaft Hausenhof in 2010, and following that a six-month internship (Bundesfreiwilligendienst) at the Karlsruhe Waldorf School in 2011. He is currently studying to be a curative education therapist (Heilerziehungspfleger) in Dorfgemeinschaft Tennental and will be graduating in 2015, at which time he plans to return to Kenya to oversee the development of Jamii Community Village Seme.
Edmond is a Kenyan citizen and did a year-long internship (Freiwilliges Sozialles Jahr) at Camphill Dorfgemeinschaft Hermansberg in 2010. He is a fitness trainer by profession and currently lives in Germany with his family.
Alfred was born in Kisumu, Kenya. He is currently studying law at Nairobi University and will be graduating in 2015. He is a human rights activist.
Elizabeth is a US and UK citizen and was raised in Amherst Massachusetts, USA. She did a year-long internship (Jahrespraktikum) at Camphill Dorfgemeinschaft Hausenhof in 2010, and has also worked at Camphill Village USA in Copake, NY, and at Dorfgemeinschaft Tennental in Germany. She is studying for her Bachelors degree at Tufts University, double majoring in Anthropology and German Studies and minoring in Film Studies, and will graduate in 2015.
George Ochoro (Chairman)
George was born in Kisumu, Kenya. He is a teacher by profession and currently teaches at a public primary school in Kenya. He is also currently attaining his B.Ed (Arts), with a focus in English and English Literature, at the University of Nairobi. He is a trained peer counselor and has experience working with people with diverse disabilities. Additionally, he has experience working at an OVC (Orphan and Vulnerable Children) institution.
